Robert graduated with a LLB from England, and was called to the Bar of England and Wales (Middle Temple).
He then returned to his native Singapore where he practiced for 15 years. During this time, he:
- served as an elected Council member of the Law Society of Singapore;
- Tutored Business Law at the Nanyang Technological University;
- Was the managing partner of a full-service law firm.
After immigrating to Canada with his family, Robert was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in British Columbia, and practices exclusively in the areas of citizenship and immigration law.
Apart from handling immigration applications, Robert has also appeared before the Immigration and Refugee Board handling admissibility hearings and appeals. He also appears before the Federal Court of Canada on administrative Judicial Review applications.
Robert served as the Secretary of the CBA BC Immigration Law Section from 2013 to 2015.
