I attended the University of British Columbia and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and Philosophy. I then attended Law School at U.B.C. and graduated in 1980 with a L.L.B (now J.D.). After completion of the articling program I was called to the Bar in British Columbia in 1981. Since that time I have been a partner in several law firms and have worked continuously as a trial lawyer, in the Provincial Court of B.C., the Supreme Court of B.C. and the Court of Appeal of B.C. I have practiced in many areas of law, including personal injury litigation, criminal law, family law, estate litigation, corporate litigation, and labour law. I continue to have an interest in personal injury law (including ICBC) and estate and wills variation litigation.I was appointed Queens Counsel in 2015 and I am a rostered member in good standing with Mediate B.C. I have been a practicing member of the Law Society of British Columbia since 1981. I am currently a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Surrey Bar Association, and the New Westminster Bar Association. My family and I live in the Lower Mainland of B.C. and in my spare time I enjoy photography, skiing and travel.
