Barry Weintraub is a founding partner of Weintraub Erskine Huang LLP, a Bay Street Litigation Boutique. His diverse practice includes litigation of corporate/commercial, environmental and employment matters. Barry is an experienced and successful trial counsel. He has extensive advocacy experience before various courts at all stages of litigation and has also appeared before several different administrative tribunals. Barry has acted as counsel in numerous mediations and commercial arbitrations. Barry has made more than 1500 appearances in various types of proceedings, including many trials and appeals.
Barry is a past Chair of CBA National Environment, Energy & Resources Law Section, and of OBA Civil Litigation Section and Environmental Law Section. He served for many years as Adjunct Professor at University of Toronto Faculty of Law and Queen's University Faculty of Law teaching various civil procedures courses.
Barry was called to the bar in 1989 and previously practiced with Stikeman Elliott, Genest Murray, Heenan Blaikie, Rueter Scargall Bennett and Rueters LLP.
