Sharon is a solicitor whose practice emphasizes all aspects of commercial real estate. She delivers practical, business-oriented legal advice to clients, including landowners, developers, builders, landlords, tenants, joint-venturers and private lenders. Sharon advises on all areas of real property transactions, including the purchase, sale and financing of commercial office complexes, retail shopping centres, residential apartment buildings and hotels. She also acts for landlords and tenants on various leasing matters, including single-tenant building leases, build-to-suit leases, ground leases, office leases and retail leases. Sharon is also experienced in land development, subdivision, and strata and mixed use developments.Prior to being admitted to the Alberta bar in 2009, Sharon earned her B. Comm. with Distinction (2005) and her LL.B. (2008) from the University of Alberta.
Sharon is the President of Edmonton CREW Association (Commercial Real Estate Women). She is the past-chair of the Canadian Bar Association Business Law subsection and a current member of both the Commercial Property subsection and the Business Law subsection. She also regularly attends conferences and industry events to keep apprised of new developments in the commercial real estate industry.
Outside of work, Sharon curls, does pottery, and sits on the board of the Granite University Sunday Curling League. She is also an avid traveler, an amateur photographer and a dinosaur enthusiast. Some of Sharon's recent travels include Antarctica, Israel, Spain, Macedonia, Argentina, and Portland.
