Harveen Thauli has over 25 years of experience in private practice and regulatory environments. Harveen's experience includes practicing administrative law, professional conduct and corporate/securities law.Harveen is an Arbitrator who presides over arbitrations provincially, nationally and internationally. In fact, Harveen was initially elected by the General Assembly of the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) on November 21, 2017 for a two year term and then re-elected on November 19, 2019 for a four year term to the FEI Tribunal in Lausanne, Switzerland. She is the first Canadian to sit on the FEI Tribunal. The FEI is the international governing body of equestrian sports.
Harveen was appointed by the Province of BC as a Member of the BC Farm Industry Review Board (BCFIRB) for a term of November 2019 to June 2021. She was reappointed for a term ending on July 31, 2023. BCFIRB is an independent administrative tribunal that operates at arm's length from the BC government. BCFIRB hears appeals and complaints as well as supervises BC’s regulated agricultural and commodity boards and commissions. Harveen is a Member of the Appeals, Complaints, and Supervisory Tribunals.
Harveen was appointed to the International Tribunal of UK Sport Resolutions, a UK-based independent dispute resolution service for sport operating globally, for the term of April 1, 2021 to March 31, 2023. Harveen was also selected as a Roster Arbitrator for the Ordinary and Doping Tribunals of the Sports Dispute Resolution Centre of Canada (SDRCC). The SDRCC is an independent, not-for-profit, organization that ensures access to alternative dispute resolution solutions for all participants in the Canadian sport system at the national level.
